With tears welled up in her eyes, my daughter, Olivia, tapped me on the shoulder. Holding her broken crayon, now in two pieces, she said, “My crayon is broken.”
With a smile on my face, I replied, “Now you have two crayons!” Her eyes lit up as her expression matched my own, “Yeah! Now I have two crayons!”
This might sound silly to most, but princess, it’s all about perspective. Remember that.
