A Past’s Purpose

Rebecka Walter

The past may be responsible for molding you into the person you are today, but it does not define who you are. Learn from the past and be grateful for what it has taught you, but do not dwell on its adversities. Philippians 3:13-14 says it best – “forget what is behind you and strain toward what is ahead”. This does not mean that your past is insignificant or that you should not heal from its hurt, but until you accept or value the past and what it has created, you cannot appreciate the future or what it has potential to bring.
